Seventh-Day Adventists

The Lakeside Chapala Seventh-day Adventist Church invites you to share a good time together.

Have you felt that your life is a struggle? Are you afraid of the constant bad news coming your way? This time is for you. It is for every kind of person, no matter your origin, beliefs or questions.

The appointment is every Saturday. 10 a.m. for fellowship and singing. 10:30 a.m. for a shared biblical study and at 11:30 a.m. the main worship service.

We believe that God is the creator (Genesis 1:1), Jesus is our savior (Acts 16:31), the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-11) the eternal Father (1 John 2:13) and that the Bible is the only source for truth and comfort for broken hearts ( Romans 15:4 cf John 17:17).

Come and discover something that could change your life forever!

Carretera Chapala-Ajijic No. 10, Fracc. Chula Vista, Chapala

Lakeside Presbyterian

Pastor Wayne, will talk about: After God’s Own Heart Sunday, April 23.

The Bible said that King David was a man after God’s own heart. I believe that every Christian should strive for discipleship that is after God’s own heart.

First Timothy is a letter written by Paul to his coworker Timothy, who was leading the church in Ephesus at that time. It is a letter to Timothy about being a church leader, but there are also important instructions for all true disciples.

The Christian journey begins with the gospel. The gospel is the good news of what God has done for us in Christ. It is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). But the gospel is not only something we believe; it is also something that transforms our lives. In his letter to Timothy, Paul shows how the gospel shapes our holiness, our mission, and our leadership.

English-language service begins at 9:30 a.m. Spanish service begins 11 a.m. The English service also streams each Sunday at facebook.com/LPCChapala.

Everyone is welcome to Wednesday drop-in Bible study at 10 am.

If you need a ride, or more information, call 376-106-0853, Thursday, before 4 p.m.

LPC is at Calle San Jorge 250 in Riberas del Pilar, (turn lakeside at Mom’s Restaurant).

Lake Chapala Baptists

“It’s very simple,” Pastor John told us as he began his Resurrection Sunday sermon. “The resurrection changes everything. Christ’s resurrection changed the whole world. Nothing else compares to this moment, the single greatest moment in all of history.

“Why does it matter? It proves that every word He said was true. If the resurrection of Jesus is a fraud, there is no hope for humanity, no hope. We live, we try, we fail, we die. But if Jesus rose from the dead, He has brought us unquenchable life.

“The resurrection came as a surprise to everyone, friend and foe. No one expected a strong earthquake, or a mighty angel rolling away a two-ton stone and demonstrating that Jesus was nowhere to be found. Nothing would hold Him back! He rose, went through the walls of the tomb, and left it empty and twelve Roman guards quaking in their boots.

“Search out the Lord, beloved ones! Come and see Him and when you’ve understood the wonder and beauty, the transcendent power of Jesus Christ, then go and tell others that Jesus regenerated your heart of stone, that He lived and died and was born again for us!

“Have you been judged? Have you been changed? Did you fall at the feet of the Savior and say, ‘Here I am Lord, save me!’ Then go and tell!”

Share memorable weekly sermons, uplifting music, and an ongoing thirst for true wisdom Sundays, 10:45 a.m. at the Lake Chapala Baptist Church. Sta. Margarita 147,  Riberas del Pilar.

Abundant Life Church

Are you sure? How sure are you? Everyone needs proof in order for them to believe in something. As believers our confidence lies in the truth of the facts and those facts are on display in the Bible. Isn’t it amazing that so many choose not to believe without ever investigating the facts. Even more mystifying is when believers don’t take the time to discover the truth and only go on what others say. God doesn’t want our faith to be on shaky ground. Come this Sunday, April 23.  It’s a good time to start your Biblical journey with us!

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. English-language services are Sunday, 10:30 a.m., Spanish-Language services are Sunday, 9 a.m. and noon. Bible study in English is held at 11 a.m. each Wednesday with Spanish language Bible studies on Friday at 6:45 p.m.
