More than 1,000 Mexican and expat residents showed up at the Ajijic plaza Sunday, October 21 to sign a petition to demonstrate citizen opposition to the construction of high rise housing complexes in the town’s neighboring mountain range.
The first stage of Ajijic’s pilot program for solid waste separation will go in effect next week, operated by the GIRRSA trash collection outfit in conjunction with Chapala’s Ecology Department.
