Eight branches of Farmacias del Ahorro have already opened in Guadalajara, with another four set to open in Zapopan next week. The pharmacies offer free medical consultations, cheap generic drugs and own-brand medicines. With 900 branches nationwide and 1,200 doctors, Farmacias del Ahorro currently employs over 60,000 people throughout Mexico.
