Reading advocacy takes to the open air

Some 300 books have been donated to the project – a joint collaboration between IEPC and the National Council of Culture and the Arts (Conaculta). Among titles to be found (as yet only in Spanish), are Goethe’s “Faust” and Juan Rulfo’s “Pedro Paramo.”

Books may be borrowed without any charge for eight days.  To obtain a credential, one must supply copies of proof of domicile and identification, as well as fill out a form containing a few personal details.  Alternatively, books may be read at the space, which has benches and shade from the sun. The library/reading space is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located at the corner of Lopez Mateos and Florencia in Colonia Providenica.
