Drugged cop in fatal accident

Ismael Sebastián Correa Plata, 31, is being held without bail following the accident, which occurred at the corner of Joaquín Amaro and Hacienda La Calera late Monday night.

According to witnesses, the patrol car struck a VW Pointer, in which the baby boy, named as Nassar Diaz de la Torre, was traveling.  The Pointer was shunted into a telephone booth, resulting in injury to three bystanders.  Diaz de la Torre was taken to a nearby IMSS clinic but died several hours later.
