On December 1, the Guadalajara delegation of the country’s Foreign Relations Department (Relaciones Exteriores) will move from the Palacio Federal on Avenida Alcalde to Plaza Bonita, on Avenida Mexico, next to Plaza Mexico.
The new offices will provide easier access and an improved service, delegation officials say. Opened 25 years ago as a commercial mall, Plaza Bonita’s unconventional, open-air design was never fully accepted by the public and the shopping center failed to take off. It is now occupied largely by service companies and other non-retail businesses.
