Motorcycle bandit plague concerns state legislator

Around 531 assaults involving pairs of criminals riding motorcycles were reported in Guadalajara last year.  (Many more presumably went unreported.) Only 12 people were arrested in connection with these incidents, Valencia says. The highest number of assaults of this nature were reported in the downtown area and Avenida Chapultepec corridor, he notes.   

Valencia believes making the motorcyclists wear the bright jackets would make them more visible and reduce the number of incidents.
