The Monument to the Abandoned Dog was unveiled in the Parque Italia Providencia last weekend during the annual Croquetón Navideño 2016 event to collect food for stray animals.
Although organizers were unable to meet their goal of obtaining 18 tons of pet food, the day-long event was deemed a success. The sculpture was based on the story of a real dog that was present at the unveiling.
