FIL INVITEE – Portugal will be the invited country at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) in 2018, it was announced this week.
Madrid, Spain is the honored city at this year’s edition, scheduled November 25 to December 3.
COMICS & MORE – Expo Guadalajara will host Comictlan, a rival to the larger Con Comics show held each September, on the weekend of July 29 and 30. The multi-genre entertainment and comic convention will feature the regular fare of comic books and science fiction/fantasy related film, television and similar popular arts material, as well as the usual cosplay fans. Entry is an affordable 95 pesos.
MUSEUM PROGRAM – Children on their summer vacations can obtain a “passport” to visit 24 participating museums free of charge over the coming month. Kids also obtain rewards on their visits. See http:/sc.jalisco.gob.mx.
