The opening of the second section of the Macrolibramiento (outer Guadalajara ring road) has been postponed for one month “for climatic reasons.”
The 35-kilometer stretch of toll road links the Guadalajara-Chapala highway with the autopista and free highway to Colima and the southern Jalisco coast. The final 46-kilometer stretch of the 111-kilometer ring road, running from Tala to the Tepic highways, is expected to be opened to traffic in October, accordion to the federal Communications and Transportation Secretariat (SCT).
