A massive storm rocked the Guadalajara metropolitan area, as well as Lake Chapala Thursday evening.
Zones in the state capital affected by heavy rain, hailstorms and high winds included Plaza del Sol, Chapalita, Santa Teresita and the Minerva Glorieta.
Trees were reported down on Avenida Mariano Otero near Expo Guadalajara; at Avenida Hidalgo and Ramos Millán; at Moctezuma and López Mateos and 12 de Diciembre. Flooding closed the tunnel at Colón and Washington and the Arcos del Tercer Milenio on Avenida Lazaro Cardenas, while traffic lights went out at Glorieta Niños Heroes. Heavy rains and flooding were reported at Avenida Guadalupe and Rafael Sanzio.
