Guadalajara Animal Protection officials, along with police officers, seized a baby crocodile, four canaries and four puppies being offered for sale illegally in the huge Baratillo flea market last Sunday.
The animals were taken to the Villa Fantasía Zoo and the Wildlife Conservation Center in the Agua Azul Park. Veterinary personnel said they were in good health.
Back in May, officials seized a crocodile, 25 Australian parakeets, 11 canaries, ten dogs, five pigeons, two fighting roosters, an iguana and a chicken.
