A timely alert to Chapala police foiled the attempted heist of a local branch of the Farmacias Guadalajara chain on Thursday, September 12.
Following leads from a phone call placed to police headquarters shortly after noon, officers on patrol promptly tracked down and captured two criminal suspects as they were trying to escape the scene on Avenida Hidalgo, across the street from the Hotel Montecarlo. The arrest was carried out when police spotted the getaway vehicle near the Coca Cola warehouse at the west end of San Antonio Tlayacapan.
