As Ajijic’s festivities get going this weekend (see story page 16), local motorists will have to find ways to bypass principal north-south thoroughfares and follow alternate routes to reach many destinations in the center of town until the end of the month. Calle Colon will be closed to through traffic between Zaragoza and Ocampo.
One block to the east, Marcos Castellanos will be blocked from Parroquia all the way to the highway, leaving no exit from Guadalupe Victoria beyond Galeana. However, in a change of tactics from previous years, vehicles will be able to circulate north on Marcos Castellanos as far as the gates of the parish church and turn left to travel west along Parroquia-Hidalgo.
