In addition to sampling a wide selection of fine wines and gourmet taste treats, visitors at next weekend’s Vid Forum wine festival will have an opportunity to view and test drive several models of Tesla electric cars now available on the Mexican market.
The class act happening for wine lovers and foodies is set for Saturday, June 16, 1 to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday June 17, 1 to 7 p.m. at the Nimue Marina nautical club in La Floresta, located on Paseo de la Huerta just west of the Hotel Real de Chapala.
Among 15 wine houses invited to promote their products are El Coto de Rioja, Analogía A, Sutter Home, Hardys and Ménage a Trois. Local restaurants participating with meal service are El Jardín de Ninette, Jitomate Gourmet, Smoke House and La Paceña.
Corazón de Malta craft beer and assorted goodies from gourmet food outlets will have displays on the club grounds. Easy listening live music is scheduled for both days.
The entry fee is 300 pesos per person on Saturday, including a complementary glass wine goblet and a pass good for 30 wine tastings, available 1:30-7:30 p.m. Admission on Sunday is 250 pesos with the same deal for tastings until 6 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale at Hotel Real, Alex Pasta Bar, Masayume Sushi Bar and Panchos Deli.
