Dems Abroad promote democracy month

The Lake Chapala Chapter of Democrats Abroad has lined up a busy agenda for January 2024, promoted as “Democracy Month.”

Activities get underway Sunday, January 7, with a presentation at the Open Circle meeting, 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS). The title is “Vote 2024: What You Need to Know.”

A team of Democrats Abroad members will be back at LCS on Monday, January 8 for the first personal voter assistance session of the year, a public service available to U.S. citizens of all political persuasions.

Monday, January 15 is pegged as International Voter Registration Day, with information and guidance on requesting ballots offered online at VoteFromAbroad.org. Voters living outside of the United States are encouraged to confirm registration in their corresponding states and file ballot requests as early as possible before election dates.

The Lake Chapala DA chapter area will gather on January 15 for the regular monthly third Monday Meetup, to discuss their Vote 2024 Game-plan, time and place to be announced.
