Donas Donuts, Ajijic’s renowned homemade doughnut emporium closed doors at its original location shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
The business is set to reopen this Saturday, April 27, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., at its new home, situated 300 meters to the east on the same lateral road, next door to the Telmex office.
A popular breakfast spot among local residents and out-of-town clients alike, Donas Donuts has operated for the last 33 years out of a quaint adobe building across the highway from the Ajijic branch of Farmacias Guadalajara. The shop has been baking and selling its signature products daily ever since, year-round except for Christmas Day.
