Delivering his fifth annual report on September 24, Chapala Mayor Alejandro Aguirre stressed his administration’s fiscal strength in revenue generation, management and outside investment.

He said the annual budget rose from 350 million pesos in 2021 to a projected 550 million this year, while roughly 250 million pesos in liabilities and debts were settled without new borrowing.
“If we combine the municipality’s direct projects with the projects we’ve secured, we’re talking about 1,759 million pesos allocated to Chapala and its districts,” he said.
