Puerto Vallarta has won the Crystal Apple Award for “Best International Destination 2019” at a ceremony held September 9 at the Theatre on the Lake in Chicago, Illinois. 

Puerto Vallarta has been nominated in the “Best Destination” category in the 2019 Crystal Apple Awards, sponsored by Apple Vacations. 

“It fills us with pride to be recognized by such an important international company,” said Jalisco Tourism Minister Germán Ralis Cumplido.

The annual gala honors the top partner hotels and resorts based solely on customer post-vacation surveys. The company began offering Golden Apple awards in 1990 and five years later began bestowing Crystal Apple Awards to honor leaders in quality and innovation for various categories.

The Riviera Maya won the 2018 Crystal Apple Best Destination Award, while Mexican hotels won in several other categories.

The 2019 awards will be announced at the gala September 9 in Chicago, Illinois.
