Sun & suds at city’s premier beer festival

Guadalajara’s largest annual beer festival, the Festival de Cerveza, is set for another round next weekend, Friday, October 13 through Sunday, October 15.

Organizers say around 36 Mexican and foreign breweries and craft brewers will be showcasing their suds. Brewers include the likes of Colombo, Fortuna, Lobo, Minerva, Delirium, Gulden Draak, Zorra, Cielito Lindo, Capital Pecado, among others.

Some 24,000 attendees are expected over the three days. Expect some of the brewers to offer free tastings, as well as purchases. There will be an ample food zone with a handful of top-rated restaurants (Santa Coyote, Wabba Texas BBQ) on site. Live music is provided daily with top local bands, such as Kinky, La Lupita and the Boppin’ Royals. Games for kids will also be available.
