The last of four former police officers from Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos implicated in the notorious 2020 case of brutality and of death of Giovanni Lòpez was captured on April 11 in Torreón in a joint operation executed by Coahuila and Jalisco authorities.
The suspect identified as Héctor Eliab A. was put at the disposition of the control judge at Chapala’s regional criminal court as of April 18 to face charges of homicide and abuse of authority.
