Financing construction of dignified housing for desperately unprivileged inhabitants of San Pedro Itzicán is the initial mission set by Lissa’s Legacy, a non-profit organization formed in 2017 to fund worthy charitable causes.
Lissa’s Legacy, A.C. was established to replace Casas Cariñosas, originally founded in 2006 to own and operate Abbeyfield Ajijic as a non-profit compound for independent senior residents. In pursuit of broader goals other than providing comfortable living to a few elders, the Legacy board decided to close Abbeyfield in December 2018.
