Lake Chapala Baptist

Being a disciple isn’t a one-time event or something we do every once in a while – it is the daily interaction with Jesus. It is the step-by-step, one-foot-in-front-of-the-other walk that brings spiritual growth. It begins with the first step of salvation and continues daily by us walking with Christ. It is not enough to just “talk the talk.” It is essential that Christians also “walk the walk.” Our world today is filled with hate and strife. We are divided by race, religion, gender, economics, and many other issues. Instead of loving one another as we are commanded, the people of the world are having difficulty identifying with or understanding people who are different from ourselves. The days are indeed evil. It is imperative that we, as Christians, rise above the differences and walk the path that Jesus taught us. As we do something to the least person, we do it to Jesus.

Pastor John Linton will bring the message Sunday, March 15.

Lake Chapala Baptist Church is at Santa Margarita 147, Riberas del Pilar. English-language Sunday school, 9:45 a.m.; English-language worship service, 11 a.m., and Spanish-language worship service, 12:30 p.m.
