As part of the celebration of International Women’s Week, six awards will be presented to distinguished Lakeside women, Friday, March 11, 4:30 p.m. at the Central Cultural Antigua Presidencia in Chapala. The categories are Medical/Health Care, Education, Arts and Culture, Business, Volunteer/Community Service and Lakeside Woman of the Year. There is no cost to attend this event.

The Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) Award Banquet and 30th Anniversary bash held March 1 at Roberto’s Restaurant was a hit. (L-R) CASA President Monica Molloy and Lorraine Keefer presented Rick Feldmann, the top winner of the 2015 Bing Award (three first places in a calendar year) and most points, with an award for being the longest serving CASA board member (now retired) with 10.5 years of service.
