Charities grant program supports community projects

The non-profit association Lakeside Charities Grant Program selected seven local service organizations for its summer 2019 funding awards to support worthy community projects. In total, 152,700 pesos were disbursed to the recipients during the October 3 meeting of the Sunrise Rotary Club.

While the rise of Lake Chapala’s water level has stabilized over the first half of September, the spread of lirio acuático (water hyacinth) has notably increased in recent weeks.
