Regalorama

Don’t forget that “Granddaddy of all Yard Sales,” the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Regalorama, on Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. on the Church grounds at San Lucas 19 in Riberas del Pilar. There’s food, fun and bargains for everyone. Admission is free and all proceeds go to Lakeside charities. It’s a traditional “must” at Lakeside.

The Genealogy Forum will meet Monday, November 28, 2 p.m. in the Sala at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS). This month Phyl Gaskell will talk about how to document sources for your data and why you should do this. Marci Bowman will tell the group about the new developments and techniques using www.familysearch.org. and how to use it. Everyone is welcome to attend. Kids with cancer

Century 21 will hold its Fourth Annual Bazaar for “Casa de la Amistad para Niños con Cancer on Saturday, November 26, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hole-in-One restaurant in Chula Vista. The goal is to raise funds to help reduce the list of 249 children and teenagers waiting for cancer treatment.

Canadian Club

Jalisco Secretary of Tourism Aurelio Lopez Rocha (second from R) was a big hit at the Canadian Club meeting on November 7. Pictured with him are (L-R) Canadian Club co-presidents Dan McTavish and Michael Molloy and past president Anthony Wilshere. During the meeting lifetime memberships were awarded to Wilshere, Aurora Michel and Mary Prud’homme.

In (and out of) the chapel

The Little Chapel by the Lake has held an evening of “singing” for the past several years. It is a gathering on the fourth Sunday of the month at 5 p.m. to just sing. People from Christian churches in the Lakeside area participate. The congregation sings songs that are requested.

Belva Velazquez and Judy Hendrick play the piano or keyboard. Bob Hendrick of Lake Chapala Baptist Church and Raul Frutos of the Holy Spirit Church in Chapala play guitars and other stringed instruments. Danny and Kay Borkowsky of Christ Church Anglican add harmony and enthusiasm.
