Charros face season-defining month

Despite a lackluster season so far, the Charros de Jalisco still have everything to play for in December.

A strong run of form could propel the Guadalajara-based ball club into the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) playoffs, which begin on January 1, 2025.

Fans can look forward to plenty of hometown action, with 15 games scheduled at Charros Stadium in Zapopan between November 29 and December 27. The schedule includes three weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) series: November 29–December 1, December 6–8, and December 13–15. Additionally, there are two midweek home series: December 17–19 and December 25–27.

During December, the Charros will face the Tomateros de Culiacán, Cañeros de Los Mochis, Mayos de Navojoa, Venados de Mazatlán, and the powerhouse Naranjeros de Hermosillo, the league’s most successful team with 17 LMP championships.

Currently sitting in seventh place in the 10-team standings, the Charros are eight games behind league leaders Yaquis de Ciudad Obregón but only four games back from second-placed Algodoneros de Unión Laguna. With a strong finish, they could close this gap and secure a playoff spot.

Game times are 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and 5 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are available online at boletomovil.com or at the stadium box office. For more information, see the official Charros website, charrosjalisco.com.
