Local rivals Chivas and Atlas begin their postseason runs this weekend in the Liga MX 2026 Clausura tournament, each drawn against two of Mexico’s most decorated clubs.

Chivas take on Tigres UANL of Monterrey, winners of eight league titles, while Atlas face Cruz Azul of Mexico City, nine‑time champions.

Atlas hosts Cruz Azul on Saturday, May 2, 9:15 p.m. at the Estadio Jalisco, following Chivas’ away match in Monterrey. The return legs will see Chivas fans pack the Akron Stadium on Saturday, May 9, 7 p.m., while Atlas travels to the capital.

The other two quarterfinal match-ups are: Pumas vs. America and Toluca vs. Pachuca.
