The metro area is set to welcome some of the world’s top female tennis players once again as the Guadalajara Open 2026 returns from September 13–19 at the Centro Panamericano de Tenis in Zapopan. The WTA 500 event boasts a prize purse exceeding US$1.2 million and features a 28-player singles draw alongside 16 doubles pairs.

Three standout players have already confirmed their participation: defending champion Iva Jovic (World No. 16) from the United States, Latin America’s top-ranked star Camila Osorio, and World No. 20 Anna Kalinskaya from Russia.
