Tickets are on sale for the Guadalajara Open, a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 500 event that will feature some of the world’s top female players. The tournament runs from September 8–14 at the Pan American Tennis Center, located adjacent to Metropolitano Park in Zapopan.
The first two editions of the tournament in 2022 and 2023 were WTA 1000 events, the highest category on the tour with enticing prize money. These were won by top-ten players Jessica Pegula of the United States and Maria Sakkari of Greece. In 2024, the tournament was downgraded to a 500-event, and the winner was Magdalena Fręch of Poland, ranked 24th in the world. Prize money in 2024 totaled US$920,000.
