Customized pizzas now on city menus

U.S. food franchise PizzaRev has opened an outlet in Guadalajara – the first of 20 locations planned for the states of Nayarit, Colima, Jalisco and Aguascalientes. The development is led by StarGDL Corporation, which currently owns and operates 12 Carl’s Jr. restaurants throughout the Guadalajara region.

PizzaRev is the first U.S. fast-casual pizza brand to make a major stake in growth across Mexico. The company entered the country in early 2016 and already operates three restaurants in greater Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

“Our franchise partners in Mexico share our passion for bringing an entirely new and elevated pizza experience to their communities,” says Nicholas Eckerman, cofounder and co-CEO of PizzaRev. “Their years of restaurant experience and commitment to operational excellence make them ideal partners to bring the PizzaRev-olution to Guadalajara.”

PizzaRev says it is “on a mission to change how consumers think about pizza,” with offerings such as fresh pressed, homemade dough, locally sourced ingredients, all-natural cheeses, vegan and gluten-free options. PizzaRev’s customized dining experience allows guests to craft a personal pizza, including any of the 30-plus toppings, for one price.

The Guadalajara branch is located in the Gran Terraza Oblatos mall, Av. Circunvalación Oblatos 2700. Open Sunday to Wednesday, noon to 11 p.m. and  Thursday to Saturday, noon to midnight.  (33) 3653-5299.
