Fathers’ day in the panteon

It is perfectly natural, then, that this past Father’s Day saw attendance at several of Metro Guadalajara’s cemeteries soar; authorities reported at least 142,721 people gather at graves around the city, a cohort large enough to prompt the involvement of municipal appendages having to do with public order, sanitation and safety.

The city’s main cemetery, Panteón Guadalajara, received the vast majority of mourners at 118,452; the remainder was portioned out among Jardin, Mezquitlan, San Joaquin and Huentitan cemeteries.
