The air show that was scheduled at the Colegio de Aire (Mexican Air Force College) in Zapopan in September will take place on Saturday, October 28.
The event was postponed following the earthquake that rocked central Mexico on September 19.
Around 100 planes and helicopters are expected to participate in a spectacle that will feature aerial acrobatics as well as military maneuvers, parachutists, airplane and military vehicle exhibits, canine demonstrations, aero bungee and an obstacle course for kids, says Captain Ricardo Huerta, who is anticipating a crowd of around 150,000 spectators.
The installations of the Colegio del Aire/V Region Militar will open at 6 a.m. although the show isn’t scheduled to begin until 11 a.m. Parking will be available. Entry is free. Take head wear, water and sunblock, organizers advise.
The Colegio del Aire is located on Avenida Aviacion, about three blocks from Avenida Santa Margarita and the Tec de Monterrey campus.
