The U.S. midterm elections are in full swing.  Several states have already held their primary elections, with many others coming right up. 

The Russian ambassador to Mexico, Víktor Koronelli, has thanked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for refusing to join countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia for the invasion of Ukraine.

As of February 28, Canada will ease on-arrival testing for fully vaccinated travelers.

A new rule announced by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requiring travelers flying into the United States from another country to test negative for Covid-19 within 24 hours of their departure takes effect 12:01 a.m. ET on Monday, December 6. 

The Canadian government has issued warnings on social media that even Canadians and permanent residents abroad may  not be able to return home without a full slate of approved vaccines.
