Airlines in Mexico have criticized an in increase the fee for international passengers using the Mexico City airport.
The fee hike of 25 percent to 51.12 pesos was imposed in January to help fund the capital’s new airport, currently under construction. The aviation industry says the hike will affect competitiveness and lead to a drop off in the number of passengers using the airport.
