The case of the three missing film students has served as an unwelcome reminder of the 43 students kidnapped in Guerrero in September 2014 – an ugly stain on the national consciousness.
The case remains unresolved and the students’ bodies have never been found.
A global campaign advocating for the students paid a visit last Thursday to Guadaljaara’s Plaza de la Liberacion, where the number “43” was spelled out using pictures of each of the victims. The global campaign is demanding that an independent investigation be opened to resolve the matter and bring those responsible to justice. Go to ei-ei.org for more information.
