The pilot and his passenger both died after their Cessna 210 crashed into a densely wooded area of Tlajomulco last weekend.
Rescue workers were alerted to the accident on Sunday morning but were hampered in their search in the hillside known as Cerro Viejo because of adverse weather conditions. The body of the pilot was recovered from the burned out cockpit later in the day, while the passenger’s remains were discovered more than 24 hours later some two kilometers from the scene of the accident. Civil Protection said the plane was en route to Manzanillo. The cause of the crash is unknown. The identities of the deceased men have yet to be released.
