Two investigators assigned to the Ministerio Publico (prosecutor’s office) were killed during a shootout between state police and an armed gang holed up in a house in the Las Huertas neighborhood of Tlaquepaque last Friday.
A man, who police say was probably an innocent bystander, was also shot to death outside the property.
According to Jalisco Attorney General Gerardo Octavio Solís, the team of officers were caught by surprise and came under fire as they tried to investigate the property.
