The Jewish community in Guadalajara and the Archdiocese of Guadalajara teamed up to provide seasonal meals for around 10,000 people living in challenging economic circumstances on the periphery of the metropolitan area.

City park hosts ‘Holocaust tunnel’

The Mexican embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany (a nation which conscientiously attempts to make amends for the intolerance and  bloodshed in mid-20th century Europe) has sponsored an educational display, the “Tunnel of Memory and Tolerance” (Tunel Memoria y Tolerancia), open to the public, free of charge, in Guadalajara’s Parque Revolución (also known as Parque Rojo) until January 15.

Third city subway line won’t run until end of year

Construction of Guadalajara’s third subway (Tren Ligero) line will conclude by May 2020 but Tapatios shouldn’t expect the service to be up and running until the end of next year, Armando Brenez, the outgoing president of the Jalisco College of Civil Engineers, told reporters this week.
