Galeria Vertice is calling on painters of all ages, nationalities and skill levels to enter its 2013 Salon de la Pintura.
From one to five works of art will be accepted in the competition and artists who live outside the metropolitan area can send their work for consideration via email. The deadline to enter is June 21.
Composition must be realist, but theme, technique and materials used are up to the artist with a few slight restrictions. The paintings do not need to be framed, but all must be ready to hang.
An exhibition open to the public will be held at two sites (Galeria Vertice de Guadalajara and Galeria Vertice Club de Industriales de Guadalajara) from July 23 to August 24.
Works will be rotated between the two sites on August 8. The cost per artist is 1,000 pesos.
