Sangre Viva fest highlights Mexico’s cultural roots

An extravaganza of music, dance, theater, handicrafts and customs derived from Mexico’s ancient roots will take the forefront during the Festival Cultural Sangre Viva to be held October 9 through 11 at the Ajijic plaza.

Activities kick off at midday Friday as participants gather for a colorful ritual ceremony set to start as the sun reaches its zenith.  Although full scheduling details are not yet available, the program will include native music and dance shows, conferences, workshops, temazcal sweat baths and a sales exhibit of craft products.
