LLT offers interactive theater workshop next week

“Verb Play,” a two-part intensive theater workshop headed up by L.B. Hamilton, will allow participants to learn how the bold use of active verbs can create a compelling performance on stage, and in real life.

The workshop is scheduled Tuesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 22, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeside Little Theater (LLT),

“Learning how to identify characters’ needs and then making active choices to achieve those objectives makes a real difference,” Hamilton says. “Those in the workshops will learn to tap into their innate playful creativity, using scripted and extemporized dialogue, as well as improv techniques, specifically designed to expand their abilities to make inspired and active choices.”

Stage experience is not required to attend the sessions. “VerbPlay” offers actors, directors, and non-actors invaluable tools for audition techniques, improvisational work, memorizing lines, inspiring a cast and pursuing personal objectives in daily life.

The classes are highly interactive. Attendees are urged to wear comfortable attire and shoes and should bring drinking water in a non-spill container. The number of participants is limited, only those with confirmed reservations will be admitted.  Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to make a reservation. Those who have an email confirmation can sign in for the workshop at 5:30 p.m. before the first session on October 20.

This program is for LLT members only and is offered at no charge. Memberships can be purchased at the first session for 100 pesos.
