Lakeside Little Theatre presents the scandalous, Tony-nominated comedy, “The Little Dog Laughed,” by Douglas Carter Beane and directed by Randy Warren December 8 to 17.
What happens when a closeted Hollywood star falls for a male escort? Can his ruthless agent keep his secret from the public eye? Will the escort choose love or money? How will his girlfriend react? The four actors in the play are all new to the stage at Lakeside Little Theatre. Two are local residents (Debra Felix and Ivy Ge), and two are from the United States—specifically sourced to play young characters (Corey Harper and Angel N. Valenzuela).
The play features explicit language, nudity and some creative new staging techniques developed by set designer Joy Swetnam and Lakeside Little Theatre’s crew.
