LLT auditions

Lakeside Little Theatre encourages everyone to come out and audition for “Local Hero,” a new play adapted and directed by Neal Checkoway from the movie of the same name. Russell Mack is the assistant director.

Checkoway has enjoyed a couple of highly successful plays at LLT, including an adaptation of the movie “Being There.”

For “Local Hero,” Checkoway is looking to cast 15 men and five women, of various ethnicity.

This is a great opportunity for both the seasoned actor and those who want to experience the thrill of live theater via a smaller role. There are lots of great character parts for men and women.

Auditions are being held on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 at the theater. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m.; auditions start at 10 a.m.

Rehearsals start in late August, with performances scheduled from October 4 to 13.
