Opener at LLT

October 2 sees the first production of Lakeside Little Theatre’s 51st season: “Murder By Misadventure,” a mystery thriller by Edward Taylor, directed by Debra Bowers.

Murder mysteries are never what they seem at first. “Murder by Misadventure” is a comedy/drama about a pair of men who have been co-writers of murder-mystery TV scripts for years. When one grows tired of the working relationship, he revisits his story ideas to find the best way to do away with his partner for good. Add a busy wife and a nosy police inspector to the writers and this well-oiled cast has to work around each other to bring to fruition the surprise ending which is not to be missed.

The five-member experienced cast that makes this show hum includes Ed Tasca, Ken Yakiwchuk, Kathleen Morris and Michael Warren.

The play will take to the LLT stage from Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 11. The first Saturday performance and both Sundays will feature 3 p.m. matinees. All other performances will be evening shows with the curtain at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will be on sale daily (except Sundays) at the LLT box office from 10 a.m. until noon, beginning on Wednesday, September 30.
