Sunday sing
The next scheduled Sunday Sing will be on Sunday, May 27, at Alicia’s Assisted Living, (Paseo del Lago 9, La Floresta). Singers are hoping to pull at least two of Alicia’s houses together so that more residents can enjoy the music.
Harping
For a real lift, don’t miss the annual folk harp festival.
The beat
Enjoy some sultry jazz with “The Friends” on kahon, clarinet and skiffel-bass on Sunday, May 13, 2-5 p.m. at La Tasca. It’s just the thing for a day on the lake. Call 766-5269 for reservations.

The Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA) will exhibit their collective creations on Ajijic’s principal plaza on Sunday, April 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The organization of local artists will present paintings in varied media, jewelry, fabric art, photography and more. It’s definitely worth a stop. Those interested in joining ASA can find them on the first Monday of the month (the next one is May 7) 10 a.m. at La Bodega Restaurant, Calle 16 de Septiembre 124 in Ajijic. Get there early. The coffee’s ready at 9:30 a.m.
