Open Circle members and coordinators will gather on Wednesday, July 8, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Lake Chapala Society Sala to review the organizational processes and procedures of the group.
Open Circle gathers in the back area of the Lake Chapala Society on Sundays mornings for refreshments and socializing, followed by a presentation by an engaging local personality.
Margaret Van Every and David Bryen recently began coordinating the meetings and distributing meeting information following the recent retirement of Jim Spivey. As the group moves forward, they would like the wider participation of the Open Circle community.
This is the time and place to express likes and disappointments; the portions of the meetings you’d like to maintain and those that could be changed.
Van Every and Bryen are also hoping to enlist a few committed members for a steering committee which would convene quarterly and which would share the responsibility of ensuring the quality and continuity of Open Circle.
Also needed are individuals with the skills to serve as backup sound technician, facilities supervisor, email/publicity coordinator, and treasurer.
