Last spring, local senior fitness expert Ron Krayewski was diagnosed with malignant tumors in his brain.
Surgery and biopsies revealed stage four melanoma, metastasized from another undiscovered primary cancer. His news came within days of the announcement that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter had also been diagnosed with brain cancer.
During the past week Carter has announced that he is now cancer free. Krayewski’s MRI results report a diagnosis of NEC (no evidence of cancer). Like Carter, Krayewski attempted main line medical treatment before exploring alternative sources of treatment.
“We are over the moon with happiness,” says Catherine Cole, Krayewski’s wife.
“We will seek another opinion of course, but in the meantime, we are just soaking up this incredible news and taking in this miracle.” Cole expressed the couple’s appreciation for the donations, prayers and kindnesses that helped sustain them through the months of stress.
