Club Ukulele de Laguna, the group the Guadalajara Reporter ordained “the freshest community act” in the recent Extravaganza talent show, will set the community singing again at their Sizzling Summer Singalong on Monday, August 22, 5 p.m. at Restaurant Maria Isabel.
This might just be the rocking-est Singalong yet, with a line up filled with songs about summer fun (“Under The Boardwalk”), summer love (“Happy Together”), summer heartbreak (“Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”), summer gossip (“I Heard It Through The Grapevine”), summer longing (“Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”), and lots of tested songs from the group’s growing repertoire,
As always, the Club Ukulele Singalong is held without charge. The money collected during intermission will go to benefit the 40 children who learn music while playing ukuleles in the club’s sponsored Academia de Ukuleles de la Ribera.
