Pastor Wayne´s sermon this week will be about the “True Vine.”

The Great Vine is the actual name of a grapevine at Hampton Court Palace near London. Planted in 1768, the Great Vine is over 250 years old. It holds the title of the largest grapevine in the world. The Great Vine is fruitful and produces about 600 pounds of black grapes every year. One root is at least 2 ft thick and some branches are 200 ft long. It has become a significant tourist attraction. In our passage, Jesus says that he is the true Vine, the Father is the gardener, and we are the branches. So what does this mean as a practical application for our lives.

The English-language service is at 9:30 a.m., which also streams live at facebook.com/LPCChapala.

Heritage Baptist Church

Hebrews 3:7-8: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness”. For 430 years Israel had been in bondage but finally Moses leads them out. 600,000 men on foot, plus women and children (between 1.5 and 2.4 million altogether) and so began the greatest exodus in all of history. Only Joshua and Caleb and those under the age of 22 years entered the land forty years later, while the rest filled 2 million lonely desert graves. The people quarrelled in rebellion and tested God’s patience, His mercy and endless love. Hebrews 3:12-13 says, take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. The second charge is to help each other. Will we end as well or better than when we started?

Heritage Baptist meets at La Estacion, above Pancho’s Deli, Riberas del Pilar. Sundays at 11 a.m.. Cell: 331-437-7281 or 333-016-3743. Email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
